In light of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s press briefing earlier this week, we are following guidance from the South African government to drive our decisions related to the virus. We are taking measures to encourage and support social distancing throughout our business to help ensure the safety of our staff, their families and the people around them
What does this mean for our customers?
In reality, very little. As a cloud software company, we are remote by default. Our business is already well geared and placed to carry on with business as usual and for our teams to deliver our solutions remotely. The technology and tools required to successfully work and run teams remotely have been a part of our day-to-day operations from inception.
We are committed to maintaining our backlogs, work schedules and project deliveries to all our customers over the upcoming months. With social distancing in mind, we understand that most meetings between us and our customers will likely be done via video conferencing. We employ a number of different technologies to help streamline our communications and co-sourcing initiatives between our team and those of our customers:
- Google Docs for collaboration
- Google Hangouts Meet, Zoom or Teams for video conferencing
- Krisp for video conferencing audio fidelity
- WhatsApp for escalations
- JIRA tools for project status and transparency
- Calendly for scheduling
- Docusign for contracting
Each and every one of these tools runs in the cloud and means that our teams, while collaborating with our customers', can and will continue to work from anywhere.
The majority of these tools are free to use in your personal capacity. If there is any piece of technology on this list that you feel could ease the burden of working and managing teams remotely over the next couple weeks/months, please get in touch with us at info@dotmodus.com. We will happily step you through implementing and using them.
With clean hands,
The DotModus Team
